Foundations / FAQs

Good questions.
Clear answers.

The practical details about Foundations, its scope and what happens before you decide to enrol.

Before you decide

Let's make
this simple.

Applications are open. Explore the programme and prices, then arrange a conversation with Lila before deciding.

Can I try it before paying?

Yes. The free sample is available now with no email or card required. It demonstrates the learning format; it is not a free week that turns into a paid subscription.

Can I try it before deciding?

Yes. The free sample needs no card or email, and you can apply to speak with Lila before committing. No automatic trial charge or subscription follows. You can cancel before access for a full refund, or request a refund within 14 calendar days of access starting; remaining instalments are cancelled. Statutory consumer rights still apply.

Do I need a discovery call?

Start with a 30-minute onboarding conversation with Lila to discuss your goals and programme fit. Apply online and the team will contact you to arrange a time. Prices are visible before you apply, and your written offer comes before payment. This is not a clinical consultation and there is no obligation to buy.

Is Foundations open for enrolment?

Applications for onboarding with Lila are open. Complete your details on the joining page, then submit your application directly on the website. Lila will confirm programme fit, dates, support, the full fee and payment options before you commit.

What happens each week?

The member website opens one reviewed week at a time for 12 weeks: self-paced learning slides, a full written lesson, a practical action, a brief review and a few short tips. Allow roughly 20–30 minutes for the core learning and planning; cooking and movement fit your life.

Do I need to install an app?

No. Foundations works in your phone or desktop browser. Lila arranges payment manually after onboarding. Once payment and your place are confirmed, the team sends access instructions for the same member space on any device.

Can I ask questions and meet other members?

The member website includes a private team inbox and moderated community topics. Posts and replies appear after review. The optional AI guide, once approved and enabled, can offer general programme education only; it cannot diagnose or manage treatment.

Who are the experts?

Lila Bruk, Registered Dietitian, is developing the core nutrition content. Other qualified contributors will be introduced by name only after their involvement and content are confirmed. No guest participation is being promised yet.

Do I have to want to lose weight?

No. Everyday Wellbeing is the main pathway. An optional Weight Management pathway is being developed for people for whom intentional weight loss is appropriate. Weigh-ins are not compulsory.

Is this a menopause treatment or a replacement for my clinician?

No. Foundations is general education about everyday food and lifestyle choices. It does not diagnose menopause, prescribe an individual diet, manage medication or replace treatment. Bring persistent or disruptive symptoms to a qualified clinician.

Can food cure hot flushes?

We do not promise that. Eating well supports overall health through midlife, but bothersome hot flushes and night sweats may need medical care. The programme will help you organise practical questions for your clinician.

What if I take a GLP-1 medication?

You can still explore the general education, but this is not a medication service. Keep medication and individual nutrition decisions with your prescriber and treating dietitian. We will not advise dose changes.

What if I have a medical condition or need a therapeutic diet?

Please check with your treating clinician or dietitian before changing food or activity routines. A general programme may not be suitable for someone who needs individual assessment, for example with a complex medical condition, an eating disorder, a prescribed therapeutic diet or significant movement limitations.

Can I join on my own?

Absolutely. Hot Chicks is designed to feel welcoming when you arrive alone. Community participation is optional. Your written offer confirms your start date and support arrangements before payment.

Will a paid membership begin automatically after 12 weeks?

No. Any continuing Hot Chicks membership would be a separate, optional choice with its own clearly stated terms.

How much does it cost?

Programme fees are R 2 490 in South Africa, £199 in the UK and US$249 internationally. Pay in full or three instalments at no extra cost. The total covers 12 weeks and 180 days of lesson access from your agreed start date. Lila arranges payment after onboarding; applying takes no payment.
